Ian Mckay

I have been teaching Science and Technology for over 30 years, now semi-retired; I still help out in local schools. I represented my county (Leicestershire) at Tennis, Badminton and Archery as a junior and maintained the level in tennis in the senior ranks. During which time, I qualified as a tennis and Archery coach. I took up golf later in life and as I improved, I played for the club, eventually becoming a regular member of the scratch team. I am currently on the Golf Committee at Stoke by Nayland, for my third time and was Captain of the Club in 2007. In the last few years I took the England Golf Referees course and passed the exam, regularly refereeing in Essex and I have become part of the Essex Team assessing courses, using the latest criteria, to set the standard scratch for those courses.
